Don't hurry to your appointment. Plan plenty of time before and after your massage.
While I'm attuned to recognize signals of discomfort, you're the only one who really
knows what you're feeling. Please ask for adjustments to body positioning, massage
pressure, room temperature, lighting level, music volume, body draping, etc. to
make you feel more comfortable. Your guidance is always appreciated, and is very
important to the outcome of your session.
A massage session is more than mechanical strokes from the hands of the therapist
to the skin of the client. I'm working with focus, mindfulness, care and respect.
In turn, you can enhance the results of your treatment by concentrating on the
benefaction, care and devotion that are called upon on your behalf.

This depends on whether the treatment is therapeutic or for relaxation purposes.
If it is therapeutic, the state of the injury will decide the frequency and the
length of every session.
If it is for relaxation you may decide the duration and frequency.
• 30 minutes is a quick first line of defense against developing complaints
• a 60 minute session will give a general feeling of relaxation but will also
provide ample time to focus generously on a specific area, e.g. the back and
shoulders or the hamstrings and feet. You can even choose to have a 60 minute
backrub, which is a popular choice among my clients!
• the 90 minute deal provides the opportunity to have a total body relaxation -
that is, from head to toes - and spend some extra time on a few specific areas,
e.g. knots or tied up shoulders. And, between you and me: one hour really flies
when you're having a treat!
• 120 minutes: THE sublime cleansing of mind, body and spirit; rebirth; rediscovery
of your brain; a farewell to toxins, anti-oxidants and other physical waste matter;
dreams of eternal summers.
Clients tend to describe the 2-hour session in various eloquent ways. In fact it
is a way to really let the Relaxation-response sink in and stay there for a while
because of the body's endocrine hormones that get a chance to make a difference.
And who doesn't ache for that feeling of "…massage, massage, oh endless massage…!"

Yes. Our "Kadobonnen" (please pronounce 'cadoebahnnen') go from 60 minutes up.

The benefits of massage are cumulative, if supported by regular maintenance treatments.
The greater the demand on the body, the greater the benefit of the treatment.
Optimally, "regular maintenance" would consist of weekly sessions or once every
two weeks. I offer both 5 and 10 session series packages - 5 and 10TourPasses -
at substantial savings (5 and 10 Rittenkaarten) to help make massage a highly
available and affordable way to stay healthy.

The "no pain, no gain" mentality is not really appropriate for massage. There's
a fine line between therapeutic discomfort when a "knot" is "worked out", and
just plain pain when the muscles tense to protect themselves. You know the
difference. So you decide how much, if any, discomfort you'll experience for a
positive outcome. Working within your comfort zone can achieve great results!

Knots are small areas in a muscle that suffers from bad circulation due to bad
exercise or work overload. This causes a micro tear to occur which can lead to
tough, fibrous scar tissue that keeps the immediate vicinity of the muscle from
functioning properly. Only massage, active rest, a special exercise program and
ideally a combination of the three, will restore that knot to its former healthy state.

You should do whatever feels comfortable to you. For a massage to be most effective it is enough if you leave
your underwear on. This allows the therapist to be in direct contact with your
skin and makes tissue and muscle manipulation much easier. As a general rule try
to wear clothing that you feel comfortable in, disrobing and getting dressed.
You will be covered by a "basketball-player size towel" at all times, ensuring
privacy. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and we will
customize your session to make sure that happens. Do you tend to have cold toes
and cold feet? There's a solution to that too!

To make sure Massage Out-Calls are a safe, pleasurable and effective experience
for both parties involved, a few assumptions should be clear. More about this under
the "Rates and Opening Hours" button, look for the 'Terms of Agreement' header.
Furthermore, it is logical that you should only let people into your home that
you trust, like you always do! That is why it would be adviseable to come into
my practice for a cup of coffe and have an introductory chat. Or even better:
I would like to invite you for that cup of coffee, free of obligations!
Just to see if the chemistry is ok. Afterwards you can decide to try out a
massage session that would be typically "you". Or, you can decide to abandon
the whole plan, it's entirely up to you.

I value my clients and their needs and would like to help everybody as quick as
possible. If you have to cancel your appointment, unless there is an emergency,
I request that you cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid having to pay the
fee which stood for that appointment. E-mail and sms will not be accepted,
please call by telephone or leave a voicemail message.
